OnePlus 2 to come with a Fingerprint sensor

OnePlus Forum staff member, Pete has just disclosed that the upcoming flagship OnePlus 2 will sport "one of the latest and most advanced" fingerprint sensors.

Pete said that until now fingerprint sensors were not up to the mark and had inaccuracies. These sensors were being added to many flagships just for the "me too" factor and didn't really add much value to the device.  He tells us that the fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus 2 is highly refined and will be able to unlock the device faster that Apple's TouchID. Talking about the usability, he mentioned that and average user unlocks his/her phone 200 times a day. With an average time of 3 seconds to enter the PIN or pattern, it means over an hour spent for this each week.

The OnePlus 2 will be able to store up to five fingerprint profiles and would take you to the homescreen with a simple tap. Pete added that a flagship device deserves high level of security, which cannot be ignored for convenience.  He ended by assuring us that the fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus 2 will be highly secure making the device more impressive, thoughtful and versatile.

We are being treated to a series of leaks ahead of the OnePlus 2's launch on July 27th. Stay with us to know the latest news from OnePlus and from around the tech world.
