If you are owning a Moto X (2013), Moto E or Moto G LTE then there is some good news for you. We're sure most of you have been thinking about the update to Android Lollipop 5.0, and as many of them has got while rest are still in the queue, it looks like Motorola will be seeding Android 5.1 to the first generation devices as Android 5.1 is more mature and is even having most of the bugs of 5.0.2 solved.
As said by David Schuster who is the Software product manager to Motorola, that they have been testing the latest Android 5.1 on 1st Generation devices and hence after testing Android 5.1 on those devices, the company has decided to go directly with Android 5.1 for the devices.
Motorola recently has been seeding the Android 5.1 to 1st Gen Moto G Google Play Edition and it is also the first to receive the update among the Google Play Edition devices, lets have fingers crossed and wait for Android 5.1.
Moto X users especially have been frustrated over the Lollipop update and the recent revelation by Motorola President Rick Osterloh about the Lollipop update being in early stages. Today's news should offer some respite to those users considering they will get Android 5.1, although there is no indication about how much longer they will have to wait.
