Apple seems to be talking off the Physical Home Button

It seems that Apple is planning to remove the home button, on the upcoming iPhone, new report's say that Apple is working on a new design that will make the physical button to go off. If you are a apple Fan, or might be your friend owning a Apple phone then you must be knowing of the home button that acts as a menu button and a Touch ID sensor too.

Apple is being said to develop a new in-house touch and display driver, which can act as a single-chip for the iPhone. This technology would read a user’s fingerprint from the touchscreen itself, the report said citing sources in Taiwan’s integrated circuit industry.

Apple from 2011 are getting ready with a technology for leaving the home button, as it take ample space, Apple will increase the size of the Phone without needing to increase the size of the phone itself, and will also make the phone slimmer, the new iPhone will be interesting to see. Foxconn to enter India with new Manufacturing Plants

You must have heard of Foxconn, which manufactures phones on contract, like they make for Apple, now a rumors point to the return of Foxconn in India, as in Make in India program that Indian government is trying to push out, they are planing a large plant in Pune, Aurangabad, Gujrat, Noida or Andhra Pradesh.

Recently Devendra Fandnavis Chief Minister of state, confirmed that Foxconn is going to invest a large sun in Pune or Aurangabad. This all dovetails with a "Made in India" program that the current government has pushed since its last political campaign.

Devendra Fadnavis, Indian Chief Minister said,
"India has the world’s largest number of cellphones but only 7 percent of these mobile handsets are manufactured in the country. The rest are imported. Foxconn is eager to set up a complete ecosystem with (even) suppliers and not just an assembly line"
Foxconn has hired former Nokia executive Josh Foulger, to set up the plant in India, who years before helped Nokia set up their manufacturing plant in Chennai. So it looks like the plan of Foxconn is really soon to be in reality.

New leaks on iPhone 6S - 2GB RAM, 12 MP camera and A9 chip

Apple's current crop of smartphones, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been doing very well as far as Apple's sales number go. The two devices are in huge demand in all major markets, in spite of fierce competition from new players like Xiaomi. While tech enthusiasts are still debating over whether the next version of the iPhone will be the iPhone 6S or the iPhone 7, we now have fresh leaks about the specifications about the upcoming Apple smartphone.

The latest rumors suggest that the design of the new iPhone will not change much, but it will be built using high quality anodized Aluminium, which is used in the Apple Watch Sports. The phone is speculated to sport a near bezel-less retina display. It will carry underneath it the Apple A9 chip which is built using 14nm process. It will be supported by 2 GB LPDDR4 of RAM. The A9 chip is being built by Samsung, and could house a quad-core processor.

iPhone 6S/7 concept

Apart from that, the new iPhone will also see an upgrade in the camera department with a 12 MP dual-lens camera that will enable it to shoot DSLR-like pictures. It will also feature a reversible USB Type-C port which we saw on this year's Macbook. ForceTouch is said to be integrated and there is also a gesture controlled feature. There will be an additional color option, Rose Gold to match the Apple Watch Edition.

The iPhone is expected to be launched in September 2015, with production beginning in August.
There were rumors about a 4-inch version of the iPhone this year, but it seems that won't be the case.

iPad Pro dimensions leaked, reveals biggest iPad yet

Apple has been making iPad for years now and now it seems to expand the tablet market to new ranges. The never ending saga of the iPad Pro may finally come to an end soon if the leaks are to be believed. The iPad Pro is a larger king sized tablet with a screen size of 12.2 or 12.9 inches as per the new leaks.

The credible twitter leakster @onleaks has come up with a drawing of the iPad Pro with exact dimensions. And as per the leaks, the larger iPad had dimensions measuring 305.7 x 222.6mm. A 12.9-inch screen in 4:3 aspect should be 196.6 x 261.2mm, which would mean a screen-to-body ratio of about 75.7%. Compare that to the current iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 which are  around the 71.7% mark. The tablet is said to be thickest at 7.2mm which is thinner than the Samsung Galaxy tablets (Note and Tab Pro) which are 8mm thick.

The camera has been located at the corner and the overall design seems to similar to the iPhone 6. There's a new speaker grill to the sides with a single port which should be the latest USB type -c. The only thing to be noticed is the thickness which may cause bending for a large tablet with 12.9" of screen size.

Let's wait for more news until any official announcement is made.

Is this the Post-PC era? Apple's Quarterly revenue figures say otherwise

When Apple introduced the iPad in 2010, tech experts hailed it as the dawn of the Post-PC era. Tablet sales have been seeing a continuous rising trend ever since, for the Cupertino-based tech giant, and in 2011 tablet sales surpassed Macbook sales.
Many have been discusing about when PCs would be dead. However, the latest sales figures for Apple paint an entirely different picture. Apple is earning more from Macbooks than from iPads.

Apple registered a revenue of $5.6 billion from Macbook sales in the last quarter, while iPad revenue was $5.4 billion. In terms of number of devices, the company sold 12.6 million iPads and 4.5 million Macbooks in the quarter. The sales figure indicate that we are not quite in the "Post-PC" era yet. Further, iPad sales have been decreasing in the last few quarters. The decrease may be attributed to the tablet refresh cycle being longer than smartphones for consumers. Also, last year saw more competitors entering the foray with top-notch tablets.

An impressive YOY growth rate of 10% for Apple Macbook sales have helped the PC surpass iPad sales. In fact Macbooks are one of the few PC brands that have been witnessing growth in recent years. Most manufacturers are facing declining sales for their PCs.

Apple Products line-up

Apple today revealed its quartetly earnings for the quarter ending March 28th.
Total revenue: $58 billion
Net Profite : $13.6 billion
iPhones sold : 61.1 million
iPads sold : 12.6 million
Macs sold : 4.5 million

Apple CFO, Luca Maestri said, "The tremendous customer demand for our products and services in the March quarter drove revenue growth of 27 percent and EPS growth of 40 percent.” He added, “Cash flow from operations was also outstanding at $19.1 billion."

SanDisk launches iXpand Flash Drives for your iPhone and iPad.

SanDisk has launched a new type of pendrive which is named as iXpand Flash Drives these drives are made specifically for devices from apple, like in Android we have OTG drives which comes with micro USB ports to access the belongings on the USB drive at maybe your iPhone or iPad. The flash drive is like any other flash drive available in the market with one side being a normal USB drive, but on the other side the drive allow iOS users OTG functionality on their Apple devices.
As you know the 16 GB variant of iPhone 5 or 5S or 5C comes with very low storage and when we record full HD videos we are not left with space on the device and hence this makes our work !! we can just simply use the iXpand and increase our storage. The iXpand Flash Drive will be available in four capacities which are as follows:

  • 16GB :: Rs. 4,490
  • 32GB :: Rs. 5,990
  • 64GB :: Rs. 7,990
  • 128GB :: Rs. 11,490.
To use the iXpand Drivies you just need iOS7+ and a Lightning connector on your device.

The best feature on this smart flash drive is the ability to play music and video. The iXpand can play music and video files thanks to the companion app and display them on your iPhone or iPad without the need for convertion or iTunes.

The Touch ID integration that seems rather smart, by allowing users to lock down their files (128-bit encryption) on the flash drive, accessible only with a passcode or a registered fingerprint. All-in-all it makes for a great way to backup and transfer data from your iPhone to your PC or vice-versa in a jiffy.

iPhone 6C rear cover leaked !! 4-inched phone Confirmed

As we said about Apple launching 3 iPhones this year round as they need a Small sized phone too along with 2 Phablet sized handsets. Apple after launching the iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus got to know that now also people want a small handset, so this time along with the 6S & 6S Plus they will launch a iPhone 6C which will be a 4 inched phone, and hence they will bring back the 4-inched form factor to have a small sized piece for that crowd too. like the iPhone 5C they will use the plastic back shell with metallic chassis for the phone.

Mobile parts manufacturer Future Supplier may have leaked a view of the iPhone 6c's plastic back cover. With the Speaker grill difference instead of a single speaker it offers two speakers and even the LED changes lead the leak to be a Credible Leak.

So we can expect a 4" phone this time again by Apple to entertain the crowd who want a small phone instead of a Large sized one.

Apple to have a 4-Inched Phone too, as the new Rumours Suggest

Apple

As it was rumored earlier about the that Apple will be launching a total of 3 sets of iPhones, unlike the 2 iPhone system each time from the 5S & 5C series. We will be getting a total of 3 iPhones which would be as follows
  • iPhone 6S
  • iPhone 6S Plus
  • iPhone 6C
The iPhone 6C will be a 4" iPhone as people now also like a smaller sized screen instead of a large phablet type screen.

According to some insiders, iPhone 6C and iPhone 6s plus will have display from
Apple iPhone 5
iPhone 5 Camera
  • Japan Display
  • Sharp
  • LG
while the iPhone 6s would have a unit by
  • Japan Display
  • LG.
All the three devices will be featuring a Gorilla Glass cover on the front

The iPhone 6C will used the Apple-designed A8 chips, while the 6S and 6S Plus will get a new, improved A9 silicon. Lastly, we're told that the iPhone 6c is expected to be manufactured by Wistron, while the contracts for the 6s series will likely go to Foxconn and Pegatron.

iPhone 5
iPhone 5
As we know the above information is not from any official sources, but the point should be noted that people likes the iPhone 5 & 5S rather the iPhone 6 or maybe iPhone 6 Plus for its smaller sizes hence Apple may debut a 4-Inched Phone again in the market.

Apple is going for an in-built Optical Zoom Lens for the next itteration of the iPhone

We have been seeing a great progress in the camera technology especially for mobile phones. Recently an Apple patent granted and published on Tuesday, titled 'Digital camera with Light Splitter', indicates that the company will be using the newly patented technology on its upcoming iPhone to give its device specialized and unique features which include:
  • Pptical image stabilisation
  • Color accuracy
  • True zoom lens

The patent is now listed on the US Patent and Trademark Office's site, and points to a new light-splitting camera sensor system. Apple will be using a new prism technology to divide the light into components which follows
  • Red
  • Green
  • Blue
The new unit will be picking up these individually with each sensor before combining them. Other color sets like CYGM and RGBE were also mentioned.

The light splitting technology seems to be the same which is employed by DSLR Camera makers such as Sony, Canon or maybe Nikon.

The abstract from the official Patent page reads,
"A digital camera component is described that has a light splitter cube having an entrance face to receive incident light from a camera scene. The cube splits the incident light into first, second, and third colour components that emerge from the cube through a first face, a second face, and a third face of the cube, respectively."

The patent goes on to describe the advantages of the new light-splitting design, such as improved colour accuracy, polarised space for a zoom lens, polarisation without brightness loss, and extraction of image data.

The Patent also reads,
"First, second, and third image sensors are provided, each being positioned to receive a respective one of the colour components that emerge from the first, second, and third faces of the cube. Other embodiments are also described and claimed"
The patent document also explains that the colour splitting cube architecture can be used in polarisation imaging stressing that it won't "throw away 50 percent of the light" as is the case in conventional polarisation imaging techniques employing filters. The document also adds that the colour splitting cube might help in "improve contrast and enhance visibility of targets in scattering media and assist in improved detection and feature extraction of targets in scattering media"

Notably, the true zoom lens feature is referred to in patent document.
"The zooms lens may be a true zoom lens that can also maintain focus when its magnification or focal length is changed. These are also referred to as parfocal lenses."
This year Apple will make the optical zoom available in the phone by using the new Prism technology, so it seems that the next iPhone would be a great buy if you are a camera enthusiast.

What is USB Type-C ?

USB type-C is the new hot industry standard connector and cable used to power the new MacBook. The USB-C connector was developed by the USB Implementers Forum, the group of companies that has developed, certified, and shepherded the USB standard. It counts over 700 companies in its membership, including Apple, Dell, HP,  Intel, Microsoft and Samsung. This is important, because it's more likely to be accepted by the majority of PC manufacturers. Contrast this with the Apple-promoted (and developed) Lightning and MagSafe connectors, which have limited acceptance beyond Apple products.

So, is it like the Micro USB?
Yes, the USB-C connector looks like a micro USB connector at first glance, but it's slightly thicker to accommodate its best feature: like Lightening and MagSafe, the USB-C connector has no up or down orientation: as long as the connector is lined up right, you won't have to flip the connector to plug it in! The cables also have the same connector on both ends, so you won't ever have to figure out which end to plug in, unlike the older USB cables we've been using for the past 20 years.

Is this USB 3.1?
Yup, this is USB 3.1, which is theoretically twice as fast as USB 3.0.
It's fully compatible electrically with USB 3.0, though obviously it won't plug in physically without an adapter. By the way, it's about as fast as the original specs for Thunderbolt (10Gbps).

What about those adapters?
The MacBook doesn't come with any adapters aside from the charger and a single USB-C cable. Others will be available separately. Apple's USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter will be $19, but the one that will give you the most utility is the decidedly expensive $79 USB-C AV Multiport Adapter , which gives you USB 3.1 Gen 1 (the old connector), USB-C pass through for charging, and an HDMI port. Since USB-C is an industry standard connector, cheaper adapters are inevitable.

What else does it support?
The USB-C connector in the MacBook supports DisplayPort, HDMI, power, USB, and VGA. Notably absent is Thunderbolt, which is superseded by USB-C just as FireWire was replaced by Thunderbolt .
USB-C to Ethernet is a no-brainer, but you may have to daisy chain an older USB-to-Ethernet adapter to your USB-C adapter for the time being.

Xiaomi to bring out its Smartwatch to compete with Apple Watch

We have already seen all the major smartphone players release their smartwatches, be it Apple, Samsung, LG, Motorola or Huawei. Now Xiaomi is about to enter the playground and looks like everybody else should be worried.
Partnering with Hunami, the Chinese company is aiming to conquer the wearable market. Following the success of the Mi Band, Xiaomi has recently announced a second iteration of the smart band as well as the Xiaomi Smart Watch, which seems to be a direct response to the Apple Watch.

Improving on the Mi Band released last year, the Xioami smartwatch will be featuring a large dial, thus making pulse wave velocity identification possible. This would allow users to verify their identity using their own individual pulse waves. Currently, the technology has two major problems – light pollution and high energy consumption. However, Hunami is certain that its engineers have managed to deal with those difficulties, while achieving an amazing design. Whether the new Xiaomi Smart Watch will be able to deliver on said promises is yet to be seen. However, Huang said that their previous experience in the development of consumer electronics, such as MP4, GPS and PDA will help them achieve a great product at an affordable price.

Further, the Xiaomi Smart Watch will feature a special design made from brushed metal material, similar to the one used in smartphones such as the HTC One M9. Hunami CEO, Huang Wang noted that “the watch industry has been around for many years and the classic dial shape is the most popular, as everyone can see. For everyday purposes, smart watches are relatively thick, thus they can sue some trimming of the design, so it looks more pleasing.”
Huang also mentioned that the Xiaomi Band and smartwatch will be priced lower compared to other devices in the market.

1st generation Mi Band

Xiaomi is also reportedly working on a sequel to its Mi Band fitness tracker. Launched last summer, as many as one million bands were shipped by Xiaomi in the first three months. We should see a new NFC sensor stuffed in the wearable, in addition to the Bluetooth and accelerometer that were present on the earlier version.

We will update you on the latest happenings on the matter. Stay tuned with us.
