Samsung Tab 3V budget tablet listed on Indian e-store

Samsung today listed the Galaxy Tab 3V(7) T116 in India on its official Samsung India e-store. The tablet is a budget (low-end) oriented device from Samsung and like each and every budget smartphone from Samsung this one is also overpriced. The tablet is priced at INR 10,600 and is listed as out of stock on the official website but is expected to go on sale really soon.



Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V (7) T116, the company’s latest tablet has been listed on the official Samsung India eStore. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT display, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on the old Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on top. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash, but lacks a front-facing camera.

It has 3G support via SIM card slot and has voice calling capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3V comes in Ebony Black and Cream White colors and is priced at Rs. 10600. There hasn't been an official launch for the device yet.
So this seems to be another overpriced device from Samsung with poor specs. It carries the two-year old Android Kitkat 4.4 version which is highly disappointing.

Samsung has a phone which might not be liked by many but still many are waiting for the same, and the same phone gave a visit to TENAA in China and it looks like the successor to the famous flip phone the SM G9098 launched last year. the phone is SM-G9198 which is also a flip device with some top-notch specs.

HTC Desire 816G

This is another great device from a great company.The desire 816G is the younger brother of Desire 816.The Desire 816 houses 1.5 GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8Gb internal memory.

The device boast's a 13MP primary camera with 5MP secondary camera which is capable of clicking pretty good pictures.The BlinkFeed UI based on android 4.4.4 makes use of the 1GB pretty nicely and we did not notice any lag.It also has all day battery of 2600mAh.The device would best suit in the hands of camera enthusiasts.The device is currently being sold at 16,660 INR

Samsung Galaxy E7

The Samsung galaxy E7 is a great phone with an excellent camera.The device runs on 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.The device follows the old Samsung's tradition of providing a great camera in this price range.The device boast's a 13MP rear shooter with 5MP selfie pictures.The device has anHD screen and an all day battery of 2950mAh capacity.Touch Wiz UI looks great and utilises the 2GB RAM proficiently.This is definitely the phone for outdoor enthusiasts with a keen liking for photography.

Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML

The Zenfone 2 is the flagship device of Asus. The 820S is a good phone with a great phone.The device is powered by 1.7GHz octa core processor together with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory the device boast a 13MP rear shooter and 8MP front shooter which takes great pitchers.The device has  a 5.5 inch 720p display the device houses  a 2600mAh battery which partnered with BlinkFeed runs the phone through a whole day.I would recommend this device to people who want a great selfie phone together with whole day battery.The device is currently being sold for 19,999 INR which is surprising considering the brand and the features.

Samsung Galaxy A3

The Samsung galaxy A3 is the first device of the A series .The one thing new in the A series is that it has a full metal body.The device houses a 1.3GHz quad-core with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.The device has a 1900mAh battery which barely lasts a day.The device also has 8MP rear camera with 5MP front camera the camera clicks pretty decent photos.At the price of 18,100 INR I don't thin the specs justify it.But,I would like to recommend this to a person who loves metal phones.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra

The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra is device only made for big hands.With a 6 inch screen the device has a resolution of only 720p.The device runs on 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory.The device boast's a 13MP rear camera with Sony's patented Exmor Sensor.Surprisingly the device has only 1.1 MP front camera so this device was not made for selfie addicts.The UI is good and makes use of the RAM pretty neatly.The device also houses a 3000mAh battery which lasts the phone whole day.At last I would suggest that only people with camera addiction and BIG HANDS buy this as the 6-inch screen can be a problem sometimes.The device is currently selling at 19,488 INR.

OnePlus One

This OnePlus One is a revolutionary device.It runs on 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 backed by 3GB RAM and 16GB/64GB internal storage.It is fitted with a 13MP rear camera with Sony Exmor IMX214 Sensor.The front camera is a 5MP shooter.The camera is one its biggest strengths apart from magnificent CPU and RAM.The device has a 5.5-inch device with a resolution of 1920-1080p.The device also has a gigantic 3100mAh battery which runs a whole with a breeze. The device originally ran on CynogenOS but now is being run on Hydrogen OS which is based on 4.4.4, the lollipop upgrade being just around the corner.I would seriously recommend this device to power users who wanna be in front of their smartphone the whole day.The only flaw in this nearly perfect device is the it storage.The 16GB version is currently being sold at 18,998 INR and the 64GB version is being sold at 21,998 INR.

Well that wrap's up our this week's buying guide.For the price to performance ratio the Huawei Honour 6 beats every other phone out there in this price range.On the second place we have OnePlus One only due to its storage restrictions and on the third we have Asus Zenfone 2.Next week we will see what great devices do we see in the price range of 20,000 INR to 25,000 INR.

Samsung soon to update its Lineup with new devices, Model numbers Leaked

Samsung was a while ago rumored to put some of the phones in the Indian lineup to compete with new players like Xiaomi, Lenovo, and others. These manufacturers are actually having a better line-up than compared to Samsung, and now we have got some of the model numbers of Samsung handsets which could soon debut in the Indian Market.

The model numbers also come with a tentative pricing info around which the phones will be priced. There are 7 handsets which fall in mid-ranged to high-end handsets while one is a Tablet and one is a budget smartphone.

The SM G929F can be said to be the Galaxy S6 Mini, as the S6 has a model number of SM G920F while the SM G531F could be a successor to the Galaxy Grand Prime which bears the model number SM G530H. We all know about the SM A8000 which is the Galaxy A8 and will soon be official. Rest of the model numbers can't be recognised but will possibly be launched soon.

It will be interesting to see some good phones being launched by Samsung, which will make a better line-up ready for buyers.

Galaxy Note 5 cases reveals most of the design

Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 5 as scheduled like always at the IFA trade show 2015. As you all know Cases of Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge provided much info about the both, hence it is clear that they get much info about the device much earlier. Like of the S6 & S6 Edge from Samsung, the Note 5 will also have the LED flashes at the right side of the Camera, which used to be under the camera, we have seen from Galaxy Note to Galaxy Note Edge total 5 devices having their speaker grill on the back, but from the Note 5 it will be accommodate at the bottom, just like the Galaxy S6.

Xiaomi Mi 4i is the younger brother of Xiaomi's Mi 4 the company's 2015 flagship phone.The device is priced at 12999 INR. The device has 13 MP front shooter and 5 MP selfie cam. The device has an all-day battery of 3000 mAh capacity. The device has a screen resolution of 1920-1080 backed by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is run on ZenUI which is based on Android 5.0(Lollipop). The device is currently priced at 14,999 INR for the 2GB variant. The phone is great for camera enthusiasts and the Intel processor helps greatly in multitasking and running High-End Games.

HTC 626G

HTC 626G is a not-so-great device being sold under the name of a great company. The device is running  1.7 GHz Cortex A53 backed by 1GB and 8GB internal (duh!) the device has 2000 mAh which barely last's a day.But one thing which helped it make its place in this place is its build quality and camera.The device has a 13 MP rear shooter backed by 5MP front shooter. The camera gives you great pictures and the selfies are great too. The device's build quality is supreme and it feels like a premium phone.The famous SenseUI does its magic too. The device runs High-End games with little lg and the UI feels great too. As per the specs the device does not look so good but the software optimisation has surely amped up its's ranking.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo

Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo is a brother to Samsung's 2012 flagship S3. The device is powered by Exynos 4 and 1.5 GB RAM and 16GB internal expandable up to 64GB. The device has 8MP rear camera and 1.9 MP selfie shooter (duh!).The device runs on TouchWiz UI which is based on Android 4.4.4.The device has HD screen with a plethora of sensors.The device is priced at 12,499 INR. Sony Xperia M2

Sony Xperia M2 is currently priced at 12,629 INR.The device has 8MP rear shooter and 0.9 MP front shooter.Sony is famous for its camera and M2 is no exception to it. Samsung launched the Tab E in Taiwan

Samsung launches a new tablet in its affordable range of tablets, the tablet was being rumored from long, and now the Tab E is official. The device is introduced in Taiwan as of now, but it seems to be launched in more of the countries soon. Samsung partners with Blackberry fir a new smartphone

Lately when Blackberry included BBM in Android ecosystem, Samsung was to acquire Blackberry, but instead of the same, they moved away with partnering for Blackberry services on Samsung devices, and we have been seeing Samsung devices with Blackberry enterprise services.

According to Eldar Murtazin a renowned analyst states that Samsung may partner with Blackberry for an upcoming smartphone, the phone may include Android with BB services.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Mini imported in India, as per Zauba

A couple of days ago their were rumors about the Mini variant of the S6, which they will call as the S6 Mini, as all of us know the Mini variants of the flagship from Samsung are more famous in India, and hence the Mini variant launches in India at the same time as it is a global launch. So Samsung has started testing the S6 Mini in India.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo coming soon, powered by Exynos 7580

Samsung last year launched an updated version of its late flagship the S3 which was called as S3 Neo, while their is still no Neo variant of the S4, it looks like Samsung is planing for an update to S5, which will be called the S5 Neo, the new one will be powered by Exynos 7580 SoC with Mali-T720 GPU.

Samsung lately introduced Galaxy Tab S was a success, where premium tablet users, used the same for their daily jobs, and was appreciated too, now Samsung is to introduce the Tab S2 8.0 which just visited TENAA in China to get certified, this is obviously the successor of Tab S 8.4 and bears the model number SM-T715.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Rumored

If you remember, that their were rumors about a successor of Galaxy S6 Edge being planed which was codenamed as Project Zen, the codename was then renamed to Project Zero 2 and it will be a larger version of S6 Edge may be called as S6 Edge Plus. Samsung also want to get in the line of premium tablets, and hence they are working over new tablets, and a Geekbench listing shows a mysterious tablet which is codenamed as CHOPIN-LTE, the tablet uses a 4 GB RAM to run and 64-bit capable Intel Atom processor with Atom x5-8500.

Samsung Galaxy A8 Passes GFXBench, specs leaked

Galaxy A8 is the next iteration of Samsung in the Galaxy A series, the phone is yet to get official but recently their are a number of leaks about the specs of the phone, and now the device just ran through GFXBench which leaked the specs of the phone, and the screen leaked mismatches with the GFXBench listing, the phone has a 5.5 inches of screen while it was claimed to be 5.7 inches.

As listed in GFXBench the specs of the phone are as follow

• 16MP camera 
• Snapdragon 615 chipset,
• 8x 1.4GHz CPU
• 2GB RAM
• 16GB Internal Storage

The GFXBench doesn't says that the phone will have a fingerprint scanner or not, still with such big improvements it will be a good mid ranger if priced somewhat near the Galaxy A7.

The Galaxy A series undoubtedly is a nice handset and in the mid-range market they are performing well, it looks like Samsung is moving with the series and from what the insiders claim the next phone the Galaxy A8 will be coming up with a Fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy A8 will be having a fingerprint scanner, and it looks like it will be a good mid ranger if it comes with the Fingerprint scanner

Flagship Battle: Galaxy S6 vs LG G4

 Lg was late for the party but had some things that impressed us. Samsung has bet their future on the s6 for this year, which is a pretty damn good device. Let's take a look at these Korean Giants flagships for this year with a head to head comparison.

Build and design

Samsun had to design the s6 from scratch after a lot of critics from users. Samsung built the s6 with a new design and a aluminium and glass combination worked pretty well. The back also has the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection to resist scratches. There's aluminum in the chassis and the back is made of glass completely. The side frames looks like the iPhone 6 and has its own flavor to it. Samsung has retained the home button which houses the fingerprint scanner which is missing in the LG G4. 

But the front of the phone had a lot of similarities to its predecessors and looks like any other Samsung out there. The phone is slim at 6.8 mm and the glasses at the back curves to the metal at the sides. So it's pretty new design accept the same front side of any other Samsung. Samsung has managed to trim down the bezels this time and the phone is very compact now. The phones has overall stunning look and the rounded edges help you to hold the phone easily.

The LG G4 has similar design to that of G3 from last year but with new premium feel. LG have used premium leather on the back with same plastic option also.The volume and power button are placed on the back as before on G3. The back has nice curve and squarer corners. G4 has very thin bezels but it is a big phone with 5.5" screen. The bezels are very thin and as we know LG is makes the best to minimise the bezel and G4 has real compact body with those bezels. Both phones are huge but the curve and rounded edges must help you out. The glass and metal finish on the S6 is a real upgrade over the LGs leather/plastic.

Display

Sams had always produced the best displays in a phone and it holds true with the S6 too. 5.1" Super AMOLED screen with Quad HD resolution is absolutely stunning. It is the best display you can get. The color accuracy is awesome with deeper blacks and bright Amoled poping out. It also has a whooping 577 ppi of pixel density. Samsung has increased the brightness level to 600 nits and it's real super bright. 

LG had built a special display for the G4 called the quantum display. It's a 2k( 1440 x 2560) panel with higher brightness levels and contrast ratio. The 5.5 inch display is brighter, power efficient and produces more accurate colors. The display is a real and much accepted upgrade. The display is visible even in bright sunlight. It's the best display along with the Samsung's S6. 

Both phones have gorilla glass protection for the display, with s6 having latest glass 4 and the g4 has an older Corning glass 3.

Processor and performance

Samsung has departed from the Qualcomm this time and has gone solely on their own exynos 7420 which is a 64-bit processor, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2.1 GHz Cortex-A57. The chip is a serious performer as evident from the benchmarks. The phones also couples a faster LPDDR4 3GB RAM which is the latest and best RAM standard for mobile phones, 70% faster and 35% more expensive than LPDDR3. LG G4 had decided to tackle heating issues by selecting snapdragon 808 which is the chipset with low performance compared to the 810.

Snapdragon 808 is a hexa-core(6) cluster with 2 Cortex @57 and 4 Cortex @53. It has adreno 418 gpu. But it seems that LG wanted the users to have a issue free phone with optimal performance. The phone and to have good optimization. It doesn't lag like it was on g flex 2,but isn't as snappier as HTC M9 or S6. It couples with 3 gigs of LPDDR3 RAM. The S6 seems to have made a better decision with the exynos, seems to be a powerhouse.

Camera

LG built the G4 on its camera which it boasted in its teasers. The main highlight feature is the new 16MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture that helps to absorb more light. LG also says that the OIS is the new and improved one with new system of axis that helps in some stellar photography. It also had laser auto focus from the g3 with a new color spectrum sensor that helps to absorb accurate colors based on the scene. The results are great and LG seems to be well aimed to replacing your DSLR with the g4. Images taken are sharp and detailed, with accurate color and balanced exposure. LG has equipped the G4 with new camera app that comes with manual modes and lots and lots of features for some serious photography. There's a 8mp sensor at the front which comes without a gesture feature that helps you to take selfie with hand gestures.

Surprisingly, predictions about the Galaxy S6 camera have turned out to be wide of the mark. Samsung was widely expected to improve the megapixel rating of the snapper in the Galaxy S6 handset, but this has turned out to be incorrect. The Galaxy S6 features a 16-megapixel camera such as its Galaxy S5 cousin, and Samsung has worked hard to improve the quality of low-light photography. According to the Korean Corporation, the Galaxy S6 camera enables 34 percent more light to reach the sensor than with the previous iteration of the series. Optical image stabilization has also been upgraded to be smarter, and the autofocus feature has also received tweaks and improvements. The camera does a great job with its f/1.9 aperture that let's more light and helps in low light conditions. 

Real time HDR is also possible with front camera on the S6 which is really great. The main focus read the lie light photography in the S6 and Samsung has done a great job bearing the iphone 6.

Software

The Samsung version of touchwiz has always been criticised for its heavy UI and lags. This time Samsung has trimmed down the bloatwares but the looks of the icon and the UI are same and it's ugly. There are still some irritating Samsung apps that are not needed for some. But the overall performance is super smooth and there's no lags or stutters that used to slow down the device. It's based on lollipop 5.0.2 but we can rarely see the material design here and there. 

LG on the other hand has also revamped their UI with new lg ux 4.0. It's based on lollipop 5.1 with material design and same large ugly icons and LG design as on g3. LG UI is not that great when compared to custom skins like miui or sense UI. But what lg has best is the features list which keep on growing with each phone is really a great add on. If lg would work on the UI LG's skin would have been great. The camera app has many features and controls that help to use its great camera at the back.

Battery, storage and other features

Samsung has done a great job with their previous galaxies with the battery. There's a generous 2550maH battery which may seem quite low for a Quad HD phone but will hope that done throes some optimization with the new cpu and the os. There quick charge with 30 min taking to charge 50% and Samsung had also added wireless charging with new accessories in tow.

LG has stuffed 3000mah which can easily take you upto a day and may last 2 days too depending on your usage. The battery optimization done by LG is great and we would loved it to have a wireless or quick charging which seems missing. It's user replaceable. It comes with 1watt amplifier as the g3 with better sounds. There's again an optional leather back cover which comes for an extra price tag.
