Aquaris E5 HD with Ubuntu launched for Eur 199

 

Their are very less devices coming with Ubuntu now their are devices that are coming with Ubuntu, the new Aquaris E5 HD which is the new device coming with Ubuntu. The phone is launched in Europe, and will be available online from Spanish manufacturer BQ's online store. 

The Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition brings a 
  • 5 inch HD IPS panel
  • 720×1280 pixels
  • 1.3Ghz quad core MediaTek chipset 
  • 16GB of storage built in
  • 13MP camera back 
  • 5MP front camera 
  • Dual SIM
The phone is priced at Eur 199, and will be available from tomorrow onwards.

Panasonic launched the Eluga S Mini


Panasonic recently launched the ELUGA S Mini which is the Mini variant of Octa core Selfie smartphone ELUGA S which featured Blink Play that had a 5 MP front camera for selfie. Last year Eluga S was launched for INR 11,190 while the Mini variant of Eluga S is launched at INR 8,990.

Meizu launched the M2 Note in China


Meizu after teasing today's launch from quite a few days, today they launched the successor to the M1 Note which was launched a couple of days ago in India, the M2 Note was unveiled today, the M2 note is the latest mid ranger and was launched today at the event in Beijing.

The Chinese price of the16GB variant is at 799 Yuan which translates to INR 8,300 approx, while the 32GB model will set you back 999 Yuan which is about INR 10,300 as per Indian pricing scheme.

The Meizu M2 Note features following specs:

The M2 Note have a better home button which is redesigned for 2015, as per their teasers. Their is no info for the launch of M1 Note in India, and for the pricing also, let us wait for Meizu to make the M2 Note official in India for more info.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus Rumored


If you remember, that their were rumors about a successor of Galaxy S6 Edge being planed which was codenamed as Project Zen, the codename was then renamed to Project Zero 2 and it will be a larger version of S6 Edge may be called as S6 Edge Plus. It seems that the same will be announced in the coming week, according to the new rumors that are being surfaced.

The S6 Edge Plus may feature the following specs
  • Snapdragon 808 chipset 
  • 5.4 / 5.5-inch Super AMOLED dual-edge curved display.
  • 32GB internal memory
  • 5MP front camera
  • 16MP rear camera.
Till now their is no official info about the same being confirmed, so take the same with a pinch of salt till their is any official information available.

First look at the first device from Black.


Xolo recently launched an Online only sub brand in India which they call as "Black". Xolo itself is a sub brand of Lava International, Black will have its first device somewhere in June and will be launched via one of the online retailer.
The phone will be a mid ranged phone, and it will be having a dual back camera which will be first in the price range of under 15,000 INR which is 235$ in Indian pricing. The phone will have LTE on board, and even Android 5.0 Lollipop will be their with Hive 1.5 interface on top of it. We will soon inform you about the latest as they are available.

TripAdvisor launches Android Wear app today


TripAdvisor which is one of the world’s largest travel site, today on 1st June 2015 announced the launch of TripAdvisor's Android Wear App. The app is available on Play Store for free, it helps travelers find nearby things to do with access to TripAdvisor traveler reviews and ratings of hotels, restaurants and attractions.
Last week TripAdvisor launched a smartwatch app for Pebbel, and earlier this year in April launched for Apple Watch also, now they are launching the app for Android Wear too.

Adam Medros, senior vice president of global product at TripAdvisor says,
“We’re excited to make TripAdvisor available to even more smartwatch users through the launch of our new Android Wear app, our app gives smartwatch users convenient access to the wisdom of millions of travelers and helps them find hidden gems nearby – whether it’s a great place to eat, stay or visit.”
TripAdvisor Android Wear app features:
  • Recommendations for nearby restaurants, attractions and hotels: displays a list of top-rated points of interest based on the person’s location (using GPS) along with ratings and review titles to help them pick a great spot.
  • Point of interest details: shows addresses, price range, hours of operation and distances of points of interest from the user.
  • “Saves” for easy access: feature allows travelers to save their favorite restaurants, attractions and hotels and view them later on another Android device or TripAdvisor.com.
  • Direct links to the phone: allows travelers to easily access more information on their Android device about points of interest viewed on their smartwatch.

MediaTek Helio P10 Announced




If you remember MediaTek earlier this year introduced the Helio X & Helio P SoC's these year Helio X SoC's are introduced but their was little to no information over the Helio P SoC, and today MediaTek announces the Helio P10, the P stands for Premium performance and they are oriented for mid ranged devices.

The P10 uses two clusters of A53 cores each, while the Performance cores are clocked at 2.0 Ghz Max, the normal / slower cluster is said to be clocked at max of 1.5 Ghz. The processor is equiped with Mali T860, the Chipset still only have support up to 1080p.

The P10 is said to be the first SOC to be announced on TSMC's 28HPC+ process, the phone will be having the LTE rel. 11 modem with 2x20Mah of carrier aggregation, the phone will also include CDMA2000 support.
