Intex launched the Cloud M5 II for INR 4,799

Intex today launched the next smartphone in the Cloud series, the Cloud M5 II, the phone is in the budget segment and is priced at INR 4,799, for the price the phone offers great looks, and also the internal specs of the phone are quite promising. The phone will be available via Flipkart exclusively and hence is the next phone from Intex available online only.Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Business Head, Mobiles, Intex Technologies said:

PhiComm to introduce P660 in India on 3rd June

Xiaomi & OnePlus has taken away most of the smartphone sales from the previous brands that were selling in India, now more and more Chinese smartphone manufacturer are aiming India as their next step. Recently Meizu entered in India with their M1 Note, now it looks like Shanghai based PhiComm is soon to enter in the country.

They started sending press invites for the event that is held in New Delhi and is scheduled for June 3. They are said to be coming with the Passion 660 which is known as P660 in China, this will be their first smartphone in Indian market, the phone will sport the following specs

Sharp Unveils the Aquos Xx Phablet with a bezel less display

Yesterday Sharp introduced the Aquos Xx, which is a phablet from Sharp and is sized at 5.7 inches, the screen is the bezel less one which we are seeing from Sharp now a days, as of now the pricing of the phone remains unclear but it would be clear by the end of the month as the rollout of the device is planned for Next month in Japan.

HTC A50C a Desire series phone leaked

The serial leaker upleaks recently leaked a new device from HTC which falls in desire series. The phone comes with a code name A50C the phone will have diffrent codenames for diffrent devices which are as follow

• A50C#DTUL – China Mainland
• A50C#DWGL – China Mainland(China Telecom 4G)
• A50C#DWG – China Mainland(China Telecom, doesn’t support 4G, perhaps cancelled already)

Sony updates the old Xperia Z series Devices to Android L

Sony has started rolling out Android Lollipop 5.0.2 for the very first devices in the Xperia Z series, the update has confirmed for Xperia Z & ZR, as of now for Xperia ZL & Tab Z are not confirmed for the update but it looks like they will also be getting the update in a day or two. The update will be available via OTA and hence you will be notified on the phone and will have to use Sony PC companion for the update procedure, the phone will be updated to buil number 10.6.A.0.454.

The update for the XPERIA Z is 694.8 MB in size as above screenshot shows. The new update should bring quite a lot of changes and improvements including 

• Material Design UI
• updated lockscreen
• ability to transfer apps to SD card
• support for multi-users
• guest mode 
• ... much more.

The update will take time for each device to get as they are distributed sequentialy to a groups of people hence it may take a couple of days in getting the update on your device, it also depend on the region and the carrier branding of the phone if any.

Google makes Android 5.1.1 factory images live

Google recently posted the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop factory images for Nexus devices which are

• Nexus 4
• Nexus 5
• Nexus 9 LTE

these devices will also be getting the firmware via over the air update in a day or two. The updates brings a number of under the hood performance improvements and even stability improvements.

OTA are meant for everyone owning the devices which includes both normal users and even the developers, while for the factory images are concerned, these are targeted for developers and Android enthusiast who can apply the same manually.

OnePlus Two recently passed with geekbench

OnePlus is still to unveil its flagship device for this year, while most of the manufacturer has done the same, around this month. The next smartphone the OnePlus two recently got listed by geekbench which means that the device is being played by someone in the company, it maybe a prototype or a fully developed test smartphone.


As the listing says it bears the same name as the OnePlus One, but it has the model number A2001 while the OnePlus One has A0001 model number, also the geekbench says that it has MSM8974, which is the SD810 with 3 GB of RAM just like its predecessor.

OnePlus is still to announce the phine, as of now it runs the Android 5.1, but it may get upgraded depending on its launch date, the phone will not be coming up with 4 Gigs of RAM which was said earlier.
