OnePlus devices in India will continue to get Cyanogen Updates!

OnePlus back in December was about to be launched in India, Cyanogen and Micromax also had an agreement that no other device will feature the CyanogenOS in India, which made a legal fight between Micromax and OnePlus. Even making OnePlus to launch its own OS called as Oxygen OS.

But now all the legal proceedings are over and Cyanogen will continue to support the OnePlus One in India, which is a great news indeed for Indian fans of OnePlus. The legal case was taken back by Micromax through mutual consent.

OnePlus users in India with CyanogenMod 11S / 12S installed will be getting future updates which will be sent out to users worldwide and same will be distributed to Indian users.

Vikas Agarwal, General Manager at India, OnePlus said in regard to the legal statements,
"OnePlus remains vindicated of the recent trials and tribulations that has surrounded the company due to legal tussle with Micromax over exclusivity on CyanogenOS. We are happy to confirm that all ‘OnePlus One’ users in India will continue to receive OTA updates from Cyanogen in-line with our users in markets around of the world."
