Xiaomi Partners with Leadcore for their own custom SoC's

Apple, Samsung, and Huawei has been making their own chipsets for their devices, and hence saving on the chipset costs, and its quite clear that they can make chipsets to the demand of their handset, so Xiaomi also took the same decision and parterned with Leadcore which is a Chinese chipset maker.

Leadcore's VP Marshal Cheng says that Qualcomm and MediaTek's products are in high in demand, as almost 99% of manufacturers depend of these makers, and hence if they are planing product launches they need to think about the availability which result in undesirable delays.

Although Xiaomi is partnering with Leadcore, which will be called as their in-house developed silicon, but we don't expect Xiaomi to move over to their in-house SoC's discarding the Qualcomm & MediaTek for their Flagship handsets, because they will be taking a bit of time in competing with Apple, Samsung, or Qualcomm's premium chipsets they offer.
