If you are Moto X 1st Gen owner then you might be having a question running through their mind, when their Moto X will get Android L Update, recently a post from David Schuster state, that they are testing the Android 5.1 in US & Latin America, and if everything is fine within a few weeks all users will start getting the Android 5.1 Update.
As of now their is no time frame for the Moto X, few weeks may mean 2 to 3 weeks or maybe more. But the carrier branded and unlocked version of Moto X will not get the Android 5.1 update at the time it will take more time for the carrier branded one to get the update then the unlocked one.
The major notable changes on the Moto X 2013 after the Android 5.1 update will be

- 64-bit ART compiler
- new Battery Saving mode
