Nexus 7 Getting bricked after the update to Android Lollipop 5.0.2

If you search twitter with the #-tag #Nexus7bricked it would be tons of queries waiting for either Google or Asus to solve them. Both first and second gen Nexus 7 users are getting their Nexus 7 bricked after getting the Android Lollipop update. While no theory for the "bricking" has come from official sources, the affected tablets do not boot up past the image of the Google logo. The problem maybe a software one as it surfaced after the Android 5.0  update.

As of now Nexus 7 has not got the Android 5.1 taste while Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 already running on the Android 5.1 hence it looks like that Nexus 7 will also be getting the same soon. So you should wait for the Android 5.1 to be their before updating your handset to Lollipop if you are on Kitkat or if you have already installed Android 5.0.2 on your Nexus 7, then we would suggest you to try keep the tablet powered on until the next update rolls out.

Let us see what does Google and Asus responds to the problem in the coming days !!
