LeTV unveils three new smartphones in China


LeTV, the YouTube/Netflix of China has decided to enter the fiercely competitive smartphone market with three models namely LeTV One, LeTV One Pro, and LeTV One Max. In a industry first move, LeTV will also provide its customers with a BOM(Bill of Materials) detailing the bill of various components such as display, memory, RAM, processor etc. Its also one of the first phones to come with a Type-C port which was also recently adopted by the new Macbook and Chromebook Pixel 2. LeTV claims these are bezeless smartphones but there are thin bezels present.

LeTV One Max
LeTV One Max has the following specs

  • 6.33-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560-pixel) display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810
  • 4GB LPDDR4 RAM
  • 64GB internal storage
  • 21-megapixel main camera with OIS
  • dual-tone flash

LeTV One Pro has the following specs

  • 5.5-inch with Quad HD (1440 x 2560-pixel) resolution
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 810

  • 32GB internal storage
  • 13MP main camera with OIS
  • dual-tone flash
  • Sony IMX214 sensor
  • ‘UltraPixel’ 4MP front camera.


Price: 2499CYN (or some $400 for 32GB), 2699CYN (or some $435 for 64GB).
LeTV One 

LeTV One has the following specs

  • 5.5-inch with 1080 x 1920-pixel resolution
  • MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core running at up to 2.2GHz
  • 3GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • 13 MP main camera with OIS
  • dual-tone flash
  • 5MP front cam
  • 3000mAh
Price: 1499 CYN (or around $240 for 16GB model), 1599 CYN (32GB, ~$257), 1799 CYN (64GB, ~$270).
