OnePlus yesterday announced an exclusive availability of OnePlus One via Maxis Stores in Malaysia, this is the first time where they are going with a contract with a Cellular provider indeed it is also the first time where they will be providing the handsets offline i.e. through Brick & Mortar stores. The phone went on sale without invite two days ago all over the world, and hence in Malaysia too you will not have to get any invite to buy the phone.
Co-Founder of OnePlus Carl Pie said on the company's first carrier partnership,
“As we grow, it is increasingly important to work with the right partners who will provide the best experience for our users, going offline is a first for us and we’re very happy to have found a solid partner in Maxis with whom we can take our first steps.”
The phone will be sold with contract and will be locked hence and it will also be available without contract/off-contract i.e. unlocked, as for the 64 GB Sandstone Black will be priced, if you are going with contract then with MaxisONE Plan the phone will be for RM859 which translates to $237, while if you are going with unlocked variant then it will cost you RM1199 which translates to $330.
