The South Korean tech firm’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G4 is expected to be loaded with a ton of goodies that will allow it to surpass the company’s G3, which was one of the most brilliant devices rolled out in 2014. According to the information posted by The Korean Herald, it is rumored that LG G4 will come fitted with a fingerprint reader that will allow smartphone owners to make mobile payments from the comfort of their mobile devices.
According to an industry source close to the matter, LG Electronics has recently decided to deploy a fingerprint sensor on its next flagship smartphone and the scanner will be placed at the back of the device. It is possible that LG will jump into the same pit that has gotten the remaining tech giants involved in financial innovation; following Apple’s handy NFC payment service called Apple Pay, Samsung decided to acquire LoopPay, while Google is currently working on rolling out its new mobile payment service, which is being called Android Pay.
Similarly, LG might also have something unique in store for its loyal line of smartphone lovers. In addition to the fingerprint reader, TechnoBuffalo reports that the LG G4 will also come packing with a 20.7 Megapixel rear camera and an impressive 2880x1620 resolution. Considering the crisp display will not go easy on the overall battery the tech firm has to come up with something to surpass the 1440p resolution present on the G3.
Furthermore, the G4 will also be sporting a Snapdragon 810 chipset, which is the same chip that is present in the company’s G Flex 2 smartphone. It is expected that the device will also be sporting 4 GB of RAM and a much bigger battery compared to the one that is present on the G3. The expected release date of the LG G4 is around May this year.
