With Snapdragon 810 reported to be riddled with heating issues, reasons of which were not disclosed by Qualcomm. But they indeed did some internal tests on the Snapdragon 801, Snapdragon 810, and the new upcoming chipset which is not yet introduced in the market, the Snapdragon 815. These are some documents which we were able to get hold of, and we found from the results that the Snapdragon 815 is cooler compared to Snapdragon 810 and 801 as well, which means its powerful and a the same time optimised to be cooler then its predecessors.
Likewise it was done in the previous tests they ran the same Asphalt 8 Airborne, which is a graphics intensive game, and it was found that Snapdragon 810 touched 45 degree mark which was not accepted as last time the Snapdragon 810 touched just 42 degree mark, but we came to know that, Asphat 8 was tested with medium graphics settings and this time to make the Snapdragon 815 use to it fullest they ran the Asphalt 8 on High Graphics settings which gave us the following results.
- 3 GB RAM
- 5.0" FHD Display
All the three devices were assembled specifically for the tests and they were not having any cellular antennas nor any WiFi antenna. The devices only had some sensors which were used to play the above stated games, hence the real unit may have a bit higher temperature, but they will be cooler then the Snapdragon 801 & 810 featuring handsets.
