Chinese tech firm ZTE is looking to join the ranks of Xiaomi and Huawei by introducing its next premium smartphone called the Nubia Z9. There have been rumors about the device since some time, and now the hardware specifications of the device have been revealed through a benchmark score.

According to PhoneArena, the company is focused on gaining an upper hand in the industry through its devices targeting the lower and middle tier markets, but thanks to the latest benchmarking leak, the Nubia 9 will be equipped with top of the line components in order to deliver a fluid experience to consumers looking for an aggressively priced top-tier mobile product.

An AnTuTu benchmarking report states that the smartphone possessing the codename NX510J is believed to be none other than the Nubia Z9 smartphone. The mobile powerhouse will possess a 5.2 inch display that will be rendering a resolution of 1080p (424 PPI). In addition, the device will be running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset, which runs a 64 bit capable Octa-core processor that has been divided into the following: Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53, Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57.
The Nubia Z9 will also be packing 3GB of RAM, a powerful 16 megapixel rear shooter that will be equipped with an OIS chip, and an 8 megapixel front camera. The report further states that the smartphone appeared to be running Google’s Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update, suggesting that the handset will be running that particular platform out of the box.

According to the information posted on G 4 Games , the company will be announcing the Nubia Z9 on March 26, 2015. Furthermore, it is possible that the Chinese firm will be releasing a larger screen sized brother called the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max, which is expected to sport a 5.5 inch screen size that will exude the QHD resolution (1440p).
While there has been no official information released by ZTE, consumers will have no choice but to wait for that release date.
